T.V Show & Campaign

The top picture is for my t.v. show. I was going to show a person having an eating disorder, but that didn't really work out so idecided to show a t.v on a person thats a hardcore eater and competes in eating contests. So i took a picture of my sister eating pizza. idk.

The second one is for the campaign, and I decided to take a picture on the effects of drunkdriving (thanks eliana.) So i took a picture of rachel holding a picture of the friend she just "lost' to drunk driving and how it affects everyone. With the second one i used the channel mixer to make it black and white.

Black and White 2

This is my second black and white photo. I used the channel mixer again and I think i emphasized on the red filter because it made more contrast between her jacket and the snow. I burned the snow a little bit where she was laying in it so it wouldn't be so dark. I like the angle that she's at, how it's not directly on top of her or just focused on her face.

Black and White 1

This is one of my black and white winter photos. I used the channel mixers and emphasized the green filter, I think that made it have contrast and look more balanced as black and white. I also lightened up her eyes to make them pop.

This is my third cool picture. It is a little blurry but the color turned out good i think. I like how the trees are all covered in white.

This is my second cool color picture. The sun wasn't out but I think there was color that showed up in the picture.

I took this one last night at a 15 second exposure. I really like the reflection of the tree on the yard and how everything turned out blue.

This is my third photo for the thanksgiving assignment. I read an article about effects in photoshop and it was about the painting effect. I think this one turned out really cool.

This is my second picture for the thanksgiving assignment. I read an article about portraits, and then i read another article on some effects in photoshop. So i kind of took a portrait of my sister and then i added the posterize effect that was talked about in the article. You can notice the effect up close, but it really emphasizes her hair and her eyes.

This is one of my pictures for the thanksgiving assignment. The article i read was to "separate yourself from your clients," or give them space. so i had my sister walk down our driveway and do her own thing so i could "capture the moment." I don't like this one at all.

Medusa

This is the picture I took for Medusa. I wanted to show Medusa's evil side, after Athena turned her into a monster. She turned her hair into snakes and made her eyes turn anyone into stone. In order to modernize it I just made her hair really big and crazy. I changed the color of her eyes in photoshop to show that after Athena changed her, she could turn people into stone. I also put lots of makeup on her and intensified it to put focus on her eyes. I think it does look like a modern medusa because i changed her hair and make up the way i did. Instead of playing out the scene of medusa, and how she got to be the way she looks like, I just wanted to take a picture of how medusa "looked" afterwards, because we could only do one picture. I would have liked to do a bunch of different pictures as a series but since we could only do one I thought i would just put emphasis on just Medusa.
